With individual, personal therapy, which extends to couples counselling or entire families.

We also assist members of the general public with excellent and powerful self-development workshops and courses, aimed at young people and adults in anger management, resilience, confidence building, mindfulness, relaxation, motivation and empowerment.

 

The AOC give first rate training to corporate businesses, community and voluntary groups, schools, universities, probation services, hospitals, police and local councils in the field of child, adolescent and adult awareness and development. Organisations we have worked with include: The Royal Shakespeare Company, MIND, Riverside Mental Health Trust, Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, Charing Cross Hospital, West Mercia Police and ArtSpace amongst others. Workshops and Courses:

Frequently delivered by The AoC, these are for all ages, genders and abilities, depending on the subject. Participants do not have to present emotional, social or psychological difficulties – and don’t have to have experienced drama, theatre or performance in their past. We teach and facilitate individuals and small or large groups on a wide range of dramatic subjects. These include:

 

Story-making and script writing, which aim to help everyone, of all ages develop their creativity and imagination.

 

Performance skills is at anyone who wants to develop essential life skills including effective communication, social skills and relating to self and others using the arts as a medium.

 

The aims of workshops such as Shakespeare’s Heroes or Shakespeare’s Heroines are to assist participants with building self-confidence, self-esteem through exploring strong characters written by Shakespeare and working on text.  

 

Voice and Body workshops helps those who attend to develop strength in vocal range and expressiveness through movement and action.

 

Auditioning workshops and classes are for anyone who wants to pursue professional acting, prepare for formal training at a drama school or drama college.  

 

Or on more personal self-development subjects such as: Fear, attachment, trauma, anxiety, stress, phobias, relationship difficulties, shyness, anger, sexual addictions, bereavement and more, using dramatherapy, integrative counselling, mindfulness and relaxation techniques and processes.
