DESCRIPTION:Creative Orchid Project — Body Image Therapy Sessions (four weeks) — FREE \nThe Body Image sessions will commence on 31/01/2022 and will run for four weeks from 1 pm to 5 pm at our AoC centre in Dudley: \nBody image session dates: 31/01/22\, 07/02/22\, 14/02/22\, and 28/02/22. \nAddress: The AoC & The Arts of Change Trust\, 27 Holloway Chambers\, Priory Street\, Dudley\, West Midlands\, DY1 1HA \nTo book call 01384 211168 or email support@theaoc.org.uk — please ensure you can make all sessions prior to booking. The places are free and offered on a first-come-first-served basis. \nThe Creative Orchid project groups have a maximum of six people and will be using a variety of creative activities (e.g. collage\, painting\, papercraft\, clay) to support the individual’s therapeutic journey in being able to manage their mental health.  \nThe group will focus on the individual gaining an understanding of their mental health condition\, they will learn about physical symptoms\, their negative thinking patterns and how this has an impact on their relationships; they will then develop new coping strategies/techniques to allow them to move forward and achieve their goals. \nAll group members will receive an overview of the sessions at the beginning of their programme. She convened the BADth Equality and Diversity Sub-Committee for over a decade. A number of chapters and articles include her most recent (2018) Collaborations within and between Dramatherapy and Music Therapy. JKP\, London. With Amelia Oldfield. \n  \nChristian Dixon\, fellow of the Royal Society of Arts\, is a dramatherapist. He has worked with many clients from all ages\, nationally and internationally. Christian is also a professional actor and works in TV and film. Recent motion pictures include ‘Mary Poppins Returns’\, ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’. Christian won the Sparkle award for innovation and creativity in his work with clients and is co-founder of the award-winning counselling and therapy service AOC (The Arts of Change). He has recently had a clinical paper published by Routledge on family dramatherapy and LBGTQ+.
