Working Creatively With Children, Young People & Adults Using

One Day Training Workshop!

This workshop will help you if you are either a professional working with children, young people or adults or a primary or secondary caregiver such as a parent, foster carer or social worker in learning fascinating ways to make your own assortment of puppets & playing with pre-created puppets.
You will learn about the history of puppetry and how these wonderful figurines can be used not only therapeutically but also educationally and imaginatively. You will explore a range of exciting techniques to help your child or clients to safely enter the world of story-making to understand presenting difficulties, problems or cope with trauma.
You will also get the chance to perform to your workshop peers and present a shadow puppet performance. There will be plenty of time to ask lots of questions as well as network and of course break out the scissors and glue to get creating hand, glove, rod, paper and shadow puppets.
You will also have the option to keep all of your creations.

Registration starts at 9:30am – tea & coffee provided.
Workshop commences at 10:00am – 4:00pm.
Lunch will be provided by The AoC so please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.
Tickets are just £65.00 per person and can be paid in two instalments but the entire fee must be paid prior to the start of the workshop day.
