Brief Introduction To Playing Creatively With Children

About the Workshop

This One Day Workshop will have you literally skipping back to your early days: your early childhood.

This workshop won’t be focusing on whether your early years was good or bad, but is will be looking at what is was to be a child, how children think, interact, how children express themselves and most importantly how and why children play.

This workshop is aimed at all children with all forms of abilities and disabilities.

You will be working experimentally using sand trays, sensorial play, puppetry and mask making, unlocking and tapping into your own inner universe, unconsciousness and creativity.

You will also receive lots of tea and coffee, herbal drinks and a hearty free cold buffet lunch.

This exciting and stimulating workshop is ideal for anyone over the age of 18+ who have children of their own, or don’t, or might be fostering or adopting, working with or teaching children from 3 years to approximately 11 years old.

About the Facilitator

Christian Dixon FRSA has been a dramatherapist and a professional actor for over 22 years. He completed his training at the university of Herefordshire and The Guild Hall School of Music and Drama respectively.

Chistian has written articles on working with families and teaches both in the UK and abroad. He Co-pioneered a new attachment model : Attachment in Play and Drama with Play therapist Julie Franklin Baker and is CEO and founder of The Arts Of Change, that provides counselling and therapy services to all ages.

He has worked with top voice and self-development coach Patsy Rosenburg OBE – Who recently said

“Christian constantly has excellent results and from that his work is referred to organisations around Europe.”

Christian has also given a special award for creativity and innovative work by Professor Sue Jennings in 2015, and he is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Registration opens at 9.30am and the workshop starts at 10am and ends at 4pm

Cost is just £94 per person.
